Italian 00 flour for pizza

In Italy, flour is graded by how finely it is milled. Tipo 00 is the finest grade and gives a smooth, elastic dough, which is exactly what you want for pizza and fresh pasta. Molino Spadoni offers two pizza flours in 5kg bags. The Molino Spadoni pz1 "00" al taglio is named after pizza al taglio, the rectangular Roman pizza sold by the slice. The Molino Spadoni pz4 "00" Croccante carries the Italian word for crispy in its name.

Tips for a good pizza dough

  • Give the dough time to rise, preferably several hours or overnight in the fridge
  • Use a very hot oven or pizza stone for a crisp base
  • Stretch the dough by hand instead of rolling it flat

For the topping, pick a tomato base from our pasta and pizza sauces.

Self-raising flour and millet flour

Self-raising flour already contains a raising agent, so you can skip the baking powder when making pancakes, scones or sponge cake. The Koopmans Professional self-raising flour 10kg is a sack for bakeries, lunchrooms and anyone who bakes a lot.

Millet flour, known in India as bajri, is used for flatbreads such as bhakri and rotla. The TRS Bajri Flour comes in a box of ten 1kg bags. It pairs nicely with dishes from our Indian cuisine section.
