Peanut butter and chocolate spreads

Peanut butter is a staple in many kitchens, and here you can compare several brands. The Dutch favourite is Calvé, available as handy Calvé Peanut butter portion packs as well as large jars. American-style fans choose Jif Creamy Peanut Butter, and for bakeries and canteens the Swartberg peanut butter also comes in five and ten kilo tubs. For chocolate lovers there is Nutella in a 3 kg catering jar, the intense Côte d'Or Noir de Noir spread and the caramelised Lotus Biscoff spread.

Dutch sprinkles and British classics

In the Netherlands, bread with chocolate sprinkles, known as hagelslag, is a breakfast tradition. De Ruijter is the best-known brand: try the De Ruijter Chocolate sprinkles dark in a big 1.5 kg pack or chocolate flakes in single portions. The De Ruijter Pink & White Mice, sugar-coated aniseed known as muisjes, are traditionally served on rusks to celebrate a new baby.
